Two: Island Memories

During the three years I spent on the islands, there were happy moments, sad moments, and memorable moments.  Sora, Riku, Kairi, and I would do all sorts of things together. We would draw together.  Although, Sora and Riku would more watch Kairi and me draw than draw themselves, and I don't blame them.  Once Sora tried to draw Kairi, and it looked like a moose.  Riku's drawing of Kairi was even worse.  Sora thought it was a palm tree, Kairi thought it was cat, and I thought it was some sort of unidentifiable blob.  Although, I'm one to talk.  My drawing back then was never any good.  The other said I was being too hard on myself and that my work was great, but I think they were just being nice.
Sometimes, we would just and talk together.  We would talk about all sorts of different things: our days, stories we heard, our worries.  One topic that we talked about frequently was other worlds.  Apparently, Kairi was from another world too, but she couldn't remember her world either.  We would imagine what kind of worlds would be out there.  Riku even suggested trying to visit them.  I was a little skeptic, though, but the idea still intrigued me.
We would also do some sword fighting.  Kairi wouldn't fight.  She'd just cheer us on.  Riku was definitely the best among the three of us.  However, Sora and I didn't let that stop us.  Each time we'd fight, Riku would have a tougher time taking us on than he did last time, but he'd still win, except for one time that I remember very well.  Riku and I faced off.  Riku swung his sword at me as he could.  I was able to block it with my sword, but he was able to knock me down.  After I fell, he gloatingly said, "Give it up, Tony.  Did you possibly think you could beat me?"  When he said that, I just got so mad.  I stood up and swung my sword at him.  Riku blocked it, but when my sword made contact with his, my sword started glowing and changed its shape.  When this happened, Riku's sword broke in two, and he hit the ground pretty hard.  I wasn't sure what happened.  I was too worried that Riku might have been hurt to even pay attention to what happened.  I threw the sword to the ground, which was already back to normal, and ran to help Riku.  Reached out my hand out to help him up and said, "Riku, I'm so sorry.  Are you okay?"  He knocked my hand away, got up on his own, and said, while dusting himself off, "Humph, I'm fine don't worry."  Apparently, the only thing I hurt was Riku's pride.  "I'll admit, you're getting better, but you just got lucky.  I'll beat ya next time," Riku said with a smirk.  "Maybe, maybe not," I said with a chuckle.  "Well, we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out.  I have to home," said Riku as he began to walk home.  "Oh yeah, before I forget.  Meet me, Sora, and Kairi on the beach tomorrow morning."  "Um, okay," I replied.  "Why, is something going on?"  "You'll just wait and see," after he said that, Riku went home.
There was a lot going on in my head at that.  What happened in that sword-fight, what was that my wooden sword turned into, and why wasn't Riku startled by the whole thing.  Plus, I was wondering about what's going on tomorrow.  Although, I figured standing around like an idiot wasn't gonna make things any clearer, so I decided to go home and to try figure things out tomorrow.
Yep, after months writer's block and sheer laziness, I've finally finished the second chapter of Kingdom Hearts Twilight Chronicles.
